Frequently asked questions
How are words counted?
Words are groups of characters separated by spaces or line breaks.
Is my text uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.
What does Remove duplicate lines do?
It keeps the first copy of each line and removes later copies. You can choose to ignore upper and lower case.
What is a URL slug?
The readable end of a web address, for example my-first-post. The slug tool turns each line into lowercase, hyphen-separated text.
Does word frequency ignore common words?
Not by default. Turn on Ignore common words to hide words such as the, and and of.
